National Citizens Advice campaign on good practice in Council Tax arrears collection

We have a good working relationship with Kingston Council so hope that problems  for local people on paying council tax are few and far between and when problems to come up that they are quickly resolved through partnership working. We know that this is not always the case in other areas and it is clear from national statistics that this is an enquiry area on the increase.

When people find it difficult to keep a roof over their heads and stay warm and fed it is understandable that bills like the Council Tax get put to one side. However, it is really important to keep up with regular payments. If you are finding it difficult to manage your money, we can help you with guidance on how to budget. We have a small team of volunteers (our Money Talks team) who understand how daunting it can be to make ends meet. They will work with people individually and go through the ins and outs of family finances so that you can have more control. If you want to meet one of the Money Talks team, please phone our assessment line and ask for assistance on budgets. 020 3166 0953. We are waiting to take your call 🙂
