Did you see this one – DWP and cold calling claimants

I hadn’t picked up on this. Apparently it had been common for DWP staff to contact claimants prior to Tribunal hearings to see if they would agree an ‘out of court’ settlement which was often a lower rate of benefit than they might have been awarded if successful at the hearing. We had one example of this for a client and it seems that was not an isolated incident… good that it is stopping now.
