Housing/Private Tenants/Universal Credit – problems ahead….

This Item from the Guardian over the weekend about the housing crisis for private tenants, echoes some of the concerns expressed by members of the kiaa network (Kingston Information and Advice Alliance). We have been working together to make sure that people who will be claiming Universal Credit as it gets ‘rolled out’ in Kingston have all the information and support they need so that they can avoid some of the situations noted in this report.
