Message from Moyna at KVA:
As you know we have been working with Kingston Council to establish the . It will enable people that are self-isolating to request help and we will also be directly contacting those we know are most vulnerable. People in self-isolation and unable to leave their homes will be asked to complete an initial assessment to identify what support they need. Initially support will focus on those with immediate need for food and medicines. When all processes are established residents will be offered support based on their needs which could include advice on staying healthy, support with practical issues when they can’t leave the house, a befriending service to reduce the risk of becoming isolated and referral into local health and care services for those that need professional assessment and support. To prioritise those with the greatest need we are asking for your help by asking those you work with that you know need support with self-isolation to start contacting the hub on 0208 547 5000. These individuals will be offered support based on their needs. We will also monitor and improve how the service works before the number is promoted in a letter to all residents being sent at the end of the week. We ask you not to promote this number through your public channels yet as we need to test the processes and prioritise those we know have the highest needs as we will also be starting to contact those we know are most vulnerable. A further update will be sent when the number is being promoted more widely. Apologies if you have already received this email and this is a duplication of information.
