Update on Cambridge Rd Estate

Update on Cambridge Rd Estate

Here is a message from Kelly Shirley from RBK:

Key CRE rehousing facts:
  • All current council or housing association tenants and resident homeowners will have the right to one of the new homes on the estate
  • Most residents will only need to move home once
  • A small number of residents in the first phase will need a temporary move – we will provide them with a home as close to CRE as possible
  • A dedicated CRE rehousing team will support residents from start to finish
  • The first cohort of phase 1 moves will be starting early next year
We want to ensure that all residents and those supporting them understand how this process will work. For your information I am attaching copies of the Rehousing Policy booklet and an easy-read version of the policy which has been created by Involve, a team of Kingston learning disability advocates. The CRE regeneration team will be available to answer questions and we can also provide access to interpreters. A screen-reader compatible copy of the policy will be available on our website from next week at www.cambridgeroadestate.com and we can provide information in large print on request.
